WinPlan 3.5 Client Here are just a few screenshots of the well-known WinPlan 3.5 client. Most players of the world know it. Long-time players also know the older VGA Planets 3.0 client, too (the MS-DOS version!!!). When you begin a turn you will see this screen first while starting WinPlan. The pictures of bases, planets, ships, race leaders and logos may be different for each WinPlan version because a player can change pictures (even sounds - nice features of WinPlan).   In most VGAP3.x games (including both VGA Planets 3.0 and WinPlan 3.5) you can play one of eleven races. The next screen shows a picture for choosing one of the races.   After choosing a race (here: the Feds) a new screen appears. This is the main client screen (well, race-depending). Here you can see the pictures of your race leader and the race logo. The main command screen (Starships, Planets, Starbases, Star Charts etc.) is a good overview. Just a few clicks and you have given your commands to your units etc.   The ship command screen looks like this one.   Your population lives on a planet. So you can view most important data of your planets while viewing this screen.   A starbase has many jobs (including the defence of worthy planets). Here you can build your ships, fighters and ship parts.   Without a good star map you don't know where your planets, starbases and ships are... So using the star map is a good overview for you. Also you can see the moves of ships from neighbors and enemies (depends on the scanner range).
