Race history:

The Federation is a utopian socialist republic society. They have cured most illnesses including the common cold. They have done away with the need for personal monetary units and instead issue extra transport, holoroom and food rations in exchange for labor. They have solved the problems of homelessness by assigning housing to all citizens. The problem of poverty has been done away with by outlawing the hoarding of riches by people that have more than their fair share of wealth. The mentally or criminally challenged are rehabilitated at special government learning centers.

Fed starship designs are based on a hybrid of Zeta Retuculian Saucers that crashed on Earth (Sol 3) in the mid 20th century and a disabled Cyborg warp probe discovered in the year 2068 orbiting Mars (Sol 4). Their ships are fast, utilizing the best in warp drive technology. The high energy output of their ships allow them to use very powerful shields. Their designs do have several flaws, such as weak armor, high visibility and the inability to travel in hyperspace.

The citizens of the Solar Federation are trained from childhood to abhor violence and live in peace and harmony with others. This training is accomplished, through the use of holoschools, mind calming drugs and harmony brain chip implants. This training results in a very controlled society but has the drawback of a military force with very poor ground combat fighting skills.
